If you’re researching replacement wheels for your barrow, here’s some useful tips from our team:
Measure your wheel’s diameter & width.
These measurements like the entire diameter of your current wheel and the width through the hub are critical to quickly matching up a new wheel. This will narrow down the wide range of wheels that are fit for your equipment.
Determine the best tyre type.
For ground that demands more traction or grip, a diamond tread can be quite useful given their raised diamond-shaped points. A ribbed pattern with parallel, raised lines offers good traction too, but is known for being good at channeling liquid away from the wheel. All our tyre types are high quality and versatile.
Consider your mounting.
Usually this is an axle between two brackets. You’ll want to know the diameter of your axle to ensure that the existing axle matches the internal bore of your new wheel & then the width of the wheel is critical to ensure when your new wheel is fitted there’s no slop side to side. You can use existing spacers here if need be, often if the new wheel is wider then you may need to cut down your old spacers or utilise a new spacer.
